About Me

Welcome to My Musings and Me.

My name is Emma and I’m a Mental Health Educator with over 5 years experience. Professionally, I create and facilitate interactive age-appropriate mental health workshops, sessions and training for adults and children. I am both a Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aider. As well as a Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid instructor.

I’ve always loved writing and I started this blog to boost my creativity and writing skills after university. When I moved into the world of mental health, I quickly realised that I had a lot of mental health and wellbeing knowledge to share. And so, I started posting weekly on a variety of topics to raise awareness of mental health and to encourage others to boost their own wellbeing.

In my free time I love to explore new avenues for self-care. Whilst this includes writing for my blog, I also enjoy baking, doing puzzles, listening to podcasts and crocheting amigurumi animals. For me, nothing beats a warm bubble bath and curling up with a good book.

Recently, I have also become a new mum and am learning to balance looking after my mental health with being a new mother.

So, what can you expect?

I post new content weekly on a Tuesday. The majority of my posts focus on an aspect of mental health and wellbeing. Whether it’s the importance of self-care, mythbusting around mental illness or tips and tricks for boosting wellness. I aim to provide food for thought and evidence based research in my posts. As well as, practical tools to look after ourselves better.

Collaborative Working

I’m always happy to work with or alongside other brands, bloggers and companies. Whether collaborating and co-writing a post, introducing a guest blogger to my audience or writing for someone else’s blog.

For more ways to work with me please see my Work With Me page.
